Islanders are being invited to the 'Westmount Health Quarter' walk this afternoon (Sunday 20th January) to consider this site for the future hospital.
It comes after the second design was refused planning permission on Monday, as an independent planning officer said the plan was too big for the area and not in keeping with the heritage.
Campaigners for the Westmount Health Quarter site say it is the only site which is supported by the Island Plan.
The idea of a Health Quarter was first proposed by the then Planning Minister Rob Duhamel and includes areas of Overdale as well.
Earlier this week, Deputy Russell Labey joined others in asking the government to take the redevelopment of the Gloucester Street site off the table.
That would mean writing off up to £38 million which has already been spent to get to this point.
Chartered engineer Christopher McCarthy and former politician Rob Duhamel will be holding the walk from Overdale main entrance at 2:30pm.
