New telephone line could make it easier for employees to report bullying and harassment in Jersey

A new independent phone line could make it easier for public sector workers to report bullying and harassment.

The whistle-blowing policy was a recommendation from an independent report into bullying and harassment within the public sector.

The States has employed internal investigators to try to manage cases more quickly and impartially.

The States of Jersey takes its responsibility as an employer seriously and will not tolerate bullying in the workplace.

The States wants to encourage employees to speak out if they see anyone being bullied or harassed in the workplace.
