Cost of driving licences and vehicle registration to increase in Guernsey

The cost of granting or renewing driving licences, and registering vehicles in Guernsey, is to increase.

They are just some of a number of price changes that will take effect from March 1, to reflect the change in Retail Price Index (RPI) since fees were last increased two years ago.

  • The changes to driving licences include:
£50
Grant or renewal (increased from £48).
£28.50
Minimum cost to re-issue a licence after disqualification (increased from minimum of £27).
£28.50
Duplicate licence (increased from £27).
  • The changes to vehicle registrations/marks include:
£44
Vehicle registration (increased from £42).
£27.50
Vehicle transfer of ownership (increased from £26).
£44
Exchange of registration mark - single (increased from £42).

Fees for “fast track” Driving Licences, International Driving Permits and First Registration Duty will remain unchanged.
