Resurfacing work to Gorey Coast Road will begin on Monday 4th March and is expected to take four weeks.

The work will start at the hairpin bend by Gorey Pier and progress in sections towards the road’s junction with Beach Road.

The 800m stretch of roadworks will result in a 5.5 mile diversion via La Hougue Bie.

Parking along Gorey Coast Road will also be suspended and bus routes will terminate at Longbeach car park.

A free shuttle bus service to Gorey Pier and St Catherine will be put in place.

Islanders will be able to pick up a regular route 1, 1A or 2 service from Longbeach car park.

The sections will be closed to traffic on weekdays between 8.30am and 6pm, and there will be lane closures at weekends from 9am to 8pm.

Leaflets have been distributed to inform local residents of the up coming road closures.
