Blue Islands flights to Cornwall announced

Channel Islanders will be able to fly to Cornwall from Jersey to Guernsey on Blue Islands it has been announced.

From June until the end of August, there will be flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays which will leave from Guernsey and stop in Jersey before continuing on to Newquay.

The CEO of Blue Islands has said it is an exciting addition to the airline’s services.

Cornwall and the Channel Islands are both stunning regions with many similarities, the addition of direct flights means residents can now appreciate discovering the respective unique cultures and subtle nuances that exist beyond the stunning coastlines, quaint harbours, picturesque countryside as well as buzzing beach and surf scenes.

The Managing Director of Cornwall Airport Newquay, has said the new routes will give opportunities for people to get to and from the Islands, which is sometimes difficult for passengers from the southwest.

By offering this seamless one-hour flight to Jersey and onwards to Guernsey, we now have a much more sustainable and customer friendly option for people wanting to reach this part of the world, and for those in the Channel Islands wanting to visit our great county.

The route follows the new Blue Islands flights for Guernsey to London Southend and Liverpool, which will start in May.
