Thousands to try Jersey products at French farm show

Farmers in Jersey are representing the island at one of the biggest French agricultural shows.

The "Salon International de l'Agriculture" attracts more than 600,000 visitors a year.

It is the seventh time Jersey has showcased farming goods at the event - including black butter, cider, salted caramel, pork pies and new locally produced Biltong.

The island's Economic Development Minister says the most important products to promote at the event are: Jersey Lobster, Jersey Oyster, Jersey Royals and Jersey Dairy.

This popular and high-profile event provides us with an excellent opportunity to show off what Jersey has to offer, as well as allowing us to foster relationships with our closest neighbours.

– Senator Lyndon Farnham, Jersey's Minister for Economic Development

It's hoped Jersey's stand can promote our local produce and to promote Jersey as a holiday destination.
