Le Tissier named in England squad for U17 Euro qualifiers

Guernsey's Maya Le Tissier has been named in a 20-strong England squad for the next round of qualifying for the Uefa Women's U17 Championship.

The Young Lionesses will face Georgia, Hungary and Greece in the elite round in Budapest later this month, with the winner progressing to May's finals in Bulgaria.

Le Tissier, who plays for Women's Super League side Brighton & Hove Albion, captained England as they won through the first round of qualifying with a perfect record.

Women's Under-17 EURO elite round fixtures:

• Thursday 21 March - England U17 v Georgia U17

• Sunday 24 March - England U17 v Hungary U17
