Which schools will be closed for teachers strikes?

The NASUWT teachers' union has called a day of strike action in Jersey on Tuesday 26th March over the current pay dispute.

The schools that will be closed include:

  • d'Auvergne Primary
  • First Tower Primary
  • Janvrin Primary
  • Rouge Bouillon Primary
  • Springfield Primary
  • Grands Vaux Primary
  • Plat Douet Primary
  • St Luke Primary
  • Samares Primary
  • St Clement Primary
  • Bel Royal Primary
  • St Lawrence Primary
  • Mont Nicolle Primary
  • Les Landes Primary
  • Grouville Primary
  • St Martin Primary
  • St Mary Primary
  • St Peter Primary
  • St Saviour Primary
  • Trinity Primary
  • Jersey College Preparatory School
  • Victoria College Prep
  • Mont A L'abbe Primary

St John Primary and La Moye Primary will stay open.

The NASUWT excluded schools with scheduled examinations, so secondary schools will be open to their students sitting exams. Several secondary schools will also stay open for revision study for pupils in years 11, 12 and 13.

Schools have written to parents and carers to inform them of their plans for next week.
