New 25mph speed limits are set to come into effect in Guernsey.

There will be 25mph zones from Sunday 7th April to cover all Local Centres and Main Centre Outer areas.

The same limit will also be in force in the vicinity of Blanchelande College.

The States say the aim is to help improve road safety, especially for those travelling on foot or by bicycle.

To help highlight where the 25mph speed limits are being introduced, speed roundels are being installed on the road surface at entry points to major roads.
