Condor is to put on more inter-island day and half-day trips to try and increase visitor numbers, as well as giving islanders more travel opportunities.

The trips are scheduled to run from 22 April to the end of September.

There will be between six and eleven hours ashore in both Jersey and Guernsey with some departures organised to help islanders wishing to attend sporting events like the Muratti Vase Final and Junior Siam Cup.

The CEO of Condor has said he hopes the new slots will be well received by passengers.

We are aware that there is a small, day excursion market between Guernsey and Jersey so by scheduling these in advance offers visitors to our shores and Islanders the opportunity to plan ahead. We hope these will prove popular and become a sustainable part of our timetable.

– Paul Luxon, Condor Ferries’ CEO

There will be a total of 60 day trips spread across each week until the end of September.
