Ports of Jersey are reminding passengers to allow more time when going to Jersey Airport on Easter Monday.

Passengers using the airport tomorrow are being advised to check-in and get there early as it is expected to be the busiest day over the Easter break.

It is thought 23,000 people will have passed through the airport over the Bank Holiday.

Monday is expected to be particularly busy as islanders return to Jersey to go back to work and school on Tuesday.

Monday is going to be our busiest day over this last five days because of course the schools go back on Tuesday so a lot of families returning to the island so very busy on inbound passengers.

Our advice to anyone, if they're travelling through the airport is to allow for a little extra time than usual to get through security and to make sure if you have any special requests or any special travel needs please contact your airline in advance before you travel to the airport.

– Alan Donald, Ports of Jersey

Anyone travelling this weekend can check their flight status and any other relevant information on Jersey Airport's website.
