Flights were delayed at Jersey Airport on Saturday after an alert was raised about a drone.
At 13:40 the pilot reported to Air Traffic Control that at 2,000 feet he had to 'take action to avoid a drone' which was in his flight path.
Jersey Air Traffic Control immediately suspended all departures while the States of Jersey Police and Honorary officers carried out investigations.
Members of the public are being reminded to follow the drone code which sets strict rules about using drones near airports.
No further reports were made and flying resumed at 14:32.
Arriving flights were not affected.
