Four charged after £500,000 of drugs seized from a yacht in Jersey

Four people have been charged after around £500,000 worth of drugs were seized from a yacht in St Catherine's Bay in Jersey.

5kg of cannabis, 4kg of MDMA (ecstasy) and 1kg of cocaine were found on Friday 21 June.

The haul had allegedly been imported from England in the 37 foot yacht.

25-year-old Daniel Riley from Jersey appeared before magistrates this morning (24 June).

Nicholas Thurban (60), Paul Brown (57) and Colin Sait (44) from the UK also appeared in court.

All four defendants have been remanded in custody and will appear at the Royal Court on 5 August.
