Seeing Harry Shalamon break several Games’ swimming records was my highlight. His power in the pool is incredible to watch and it seems like his presence at these games has been a real boost to the younger members of the team - they know what’s possible and have been putting in a great show individually.

When we were down at the beach volleyball on Tuesday night for the live into the programme, the atmosphere was incredible with the DJ playing and lots of supporters. After we finished, we went live on Facebook just as Guernsey's women were playing. They went on to win their game, despite only having played indoor volleyball before! It was so great to see the joy on their faces and the celebrations that followed: their family and friends had a beer and a chocolate bar lined up for them - what a support crew!

I had a great time geeing up the crowd at the opening ceremony! Everybody got really involved and it was good fun.

My key moment was filming at the live on Monday. Just as Mark and Tony were talking, an athlete in the steeplechase fell over just behind them and I managed to catch it all on camera - poor guy.

Guernsey proving their class in the table tennis once again. They began the week by securing gold in the team event - their fourth in a row at the Games - and it was made all the sweeter by beating their arch rivals, Jersey, to the title.

Mine was when 36-year-old Pete Irving won the 110m hurdles after 20 years of trying!

  • OUT OF THE EDIT

My key moment was when I actually got to leave my makeshift edit suite once this week to go and film some squash - it was brilliant!

  • LEARNING ABOUT THE LOCALS

Sorry, this content isn't available on your device.

My key/slightly scary moment was when I found a Gibraltar ape in my room! I managed to shoo him out onto the balcony where he sat for a little while - not very happy to have been kicked out!
