Two people have been injured in two separate incidents on Guernsey's south coast cliffs today (17 July).

A man fell on a cliff path and injured his head just after 1pm.

The ambulance crew asked the fire service to help carry him from the cliff path near the Jerbourg.

He was then taken to hospital for treatment.

Just after 4pm, a paraglider injured his leg as he landed on the bottom of the cliffs in St Pierre du Bois.

The paraglider had to be rescued by the RNLI Inshore lifeboat, who took him to St Peter Port harbour.

He was met by an ambulance and taken to hospital.

This was one of 16 calls made to Guernsey's Emergency Ambulance service between 08:00 and 18:00 today (17 July).
