A community mosaic project unveiled today at Greve de Lecq Pier, Jersey.

Ports of Jersey have collaborated with local artists Lizi Hill and Glyn Burton, and community groups from St Ouen, St Mary, schools, pubs and charities to create colourful tile mosaics.

The work illustrates local landmarks and is being installed along the concrete repairs on the pier, which was badly damaged during storms in 2017.

Significant repairs to the pier were required and it was felt that it would benefit from artwork to improve the visual impact of the area.

The mosaics have been created from environmentally friendly materials, with the tiles being made from glass, and will erode naturally over time with the tides.
