The recruitment process has begun to find the people who will run the new project to build Jersey's hospital.

It comes after the team which ran the Future Hospital project was disbanded last month, after failing twice to get planning permission.

The new team will draw up a business case and put together a new planning application.

If we are to meet the challenging timetable we have set ourselves, we need to start the recruitment and procurement processes now, although we won’t make any appointments until we have the funding approved.

– Deputy Hugh Raymond, Assistant Minister for Health and Social Services

Funding has not yet been formally allocated, but the government says it wanted to start recruitment to avoid further delays.
