Swimming group completes first swim from Guernsey to France

A group of swimmers are the first from Jersey to swim from Guernsey to France.

They completed the huge task in 12 hours thirty one minutes and three seconds, with good sea conditions to aid them along the way.

It is not the first time that they completed a Channel Island swim across to the continent, having previously done Jersey to France as a group.

One of the group has said he loves the freedom that open water gives to those taking part.

The group which takes part in regular pioneering swims are thinking of what they can do next.
