Jersey's government has written to more than 3,000 civil servants, asking for their views on the latest pay offer.

As not all civil servants are members of unions, the States Employment Board wants to know if employees are for or against the latest offer.

Another round of strikes is due on Friday 23 August and next Tuesday 27 August.

The letter sent by the States Employment Board (SEB), included the pay review covering 2018, 2019 and 2020.

It comes after the SEB made a revised final pay offer earlier this month which included:

  • a 1% pay rise for 2018 and 2019
  • the 1.3% above-inflation pay award for 2020
  • a further pay increase funded by potential new savings and efficiencies

The letter to civil servants outlines the efforts made to reach an agreement with unions over the last year.
