A businessman in Sark says he will draw up plans for a Port of Entry on the island.

Martyn Dorey has met with officials in Sark's Chamber of Commerce, Sark's Seigneur and members of Chief Pleas to discuss the plans to improve access to and from the island.

Currently, those coming to Sark have to travel via Guernsey but if approved, the plans would mean that people could travel directly and legally enter the British Isles.

Mr Dorey said he would be prepared to draw up the plans at no cost to the island.
