More than 50 dog attacks on people have been reported in Jersey since 2017.
Figures from a Freedom of Information request show that 52 attacks were reported, with 14 recorded so far in the year to August 2019.
14 incidents were reported in 2018, with a further 24 logged in 2017.
Of the overall figure, 22 of the reports were not part of a formal complaint and were logged for information purposes only.
In only one instance was the owner brought before a magistrate and fined.
In four cases, the owner of the dog was identified and interviewed but there was insufficient evidence to prosecute.
No dogs were euthanised on instruction of a court order over the two- year period.
