Guernsey's Heather Watson has moved back inside the world's top 100 after reaching her fourth career WTA final.

The British number two was beaten 6-4 6-4 by Sweden's Rebecca Peterson at the Tianjin Open but has climbed 37 places to 88 in the rankings off the back of her performance.

The match was moved indoors after an extended rain delay, but Watson could not find the perfect finish to her best week in some time.

She secured her first win over a top-30 player in two years on her way to the final, which came more than three years after her last appearance in a WTA showpiece.
