Four young people from Guernsey have been selected as the Lieutenant-Governor's Cadets.

Presented with a medal at a ceremony last night, the new cadets are all members of local youth organisations.

  • Jacob Brady, Warrant Officer Cadet, Elizabeth College Combined Cadet Force.
  • Emily Snell, Young Leader, Bailiwick Scouts.
  • Jack Stephens, Corporal, Guernsey Sea Cadets.
  • Jack Vaudin, Young Leader, Bailiwick Scouts.

The new cadets were chosen by a selection panel after being nominated by the organisation they support.

We were very fortunate once again to have had a high quality field of applicants, from which four have been selected to serve as my Cadets over the coming year.

– His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, Vice Admiral Sir Ian Corder

The cadets help the Lieutenant-Governor to carry out his duties, meeting dignitaries and going to ceremonial events.
