Le Grand Bouet in Guernsey will reopen at 7am today.

Guernsey Water has confirmed that the sewer lining works in Le Grand Bouet have finished.

The road, was originally expected to be re-opened on 4 October, then rescheduled until 14 October.

Unfortunately the road was closed for two weeks longer than we originally anticipated as we had to remove a damaged section of cured liner from the sewer before the final section of the lining works could be completed. The works undertaken at Le Grand Bouet were complex and technically challenging and involved confined space working. We recognise that this was a lengthy and inconvenient disruption for both households and businesses in the area and would like to take this opportunity to thank them most sincerely for their patience and understanding. Further, it is pleasing to know that the major infrastructure that this sewer provides is fully rehabilitated and will provide many years of continued use for this essential service.
