Jersey teacher calls for Portuguese to be included in curriculum
A Jersey teacher is calling for Portuguese to be part of the curriculum in schools.
Last month the Chief Minister signed a renewed agreement with an international institution to broaden the teaching of the Portuguese language and culture in Jersey.
As a result of the agreement, four teachers will continue to work across island schools over the next five years to promote Portuguese literacy to children of Portuguese heritage.
However one Jersey teacher would like to see the language available to all students.
