Jersey Police still searching for rapist

Jersey Police have announced the man released on bail is no longer a suspect in the reported rape of a teenage girl in Gorey on 31 October.

The 36-year-old man had been arrested on 8 November before being given bail at the weekend.

What has been done so far?

  • Nearly 250 house-to-house inquiries have been conducted.
  • CCTV has been released.
  • Police are looking into 13 'persons of interest'
  • Over 50 members of the public have been in contact to provide information.
  • The attacker is described as big / strong rather than stocky / muscular.
