Flu vaccinations at a Jersey school have had to be postponed, after the vaccines went missing.

They had been dispatched by the NHS ready for the nasal immunisations at Jersey College for Girls today, but never arrived.

Replacement stock has been ordered and is expected to be on-island by the end of the week.

Parents of students affected have been notified.

There has been a logistical problem with the delivery of the nasal vaccine for some school pupils.

We are working to have a new supply delivered and have notified the schools and the parents of the children affected.

The nasal vaccinations which have been delayed will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity.

– Health and Community Services spokesperson

The vaccinations will now take place on 28 November.
