Guernsey's all-weather lifeboat was called to assist a French sailing vessel this afternoon.

The Spirit of Guernsey was launched by the island's coastguard at 12:35pm on Friday 15 November.

The boat had two people on board when it experienced a rudder failure approximately half a mile north east of Bec du Nez, Sark.

The lifeboat reached the French vessel just after 1pm and towed it back to St Peter Port.
