A member of staff at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Jersey is currently being treated in hospital after an incident in the kitchen.

ITV understands the employee suffered burns on 19 November.

A spokesperson from the hotel says they are supporting the staff member and an investigation has been launched into how it happened.

Unfortunately, a member of our team was injured as a result of a kitchen incident on Monday. They are currently receiving treatment in hospital and we remain in close contact with them, providing our care and support as a priority. An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing, therefore it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.
