A former student at Jersey College for Girls has returned to encourage pupils to look at careers in mechanical engineering.

Amena Hasan had studied A levels at the school and now works as a business manager at Jaguar Land Rover.

She spoke to year seven, GCSE and A level students about her career and the importance of gaining work experience. Amena hopes to break down typical stereotypes towards engineers and show that the career can be for everybody.

It is fantastic having Amena join us. She is obviously absolutely passionate about what she does. She works in this incredible company and her enthusiasm and delight for sharing her experiences with the students is really fantastic.
