Jersey police lacks an effective approach to community policing, according to an independent report
The UK inspectors found overall Jersey Police is working well, but there are areas for improvement including engaging with rural parishes and building a closer relationship with the honorary police.
It also said the force needs to improve on how it tackles serious organised crime.
The report is the first that Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Service, the main inspector of the police, has done on Jersey Police in 10 years.
