Nick Greenwood hit a maiden century in island colours as Jersey beat Italy by 122 runs to secure their first win in Cricket World Cup Challenge League B in Oman.

The 20-year-old made 102, putting on 146 for the fourth wicket in an explosive partnership with Jonty Jenner, as Jersey posted 280-8.

Chuggy Perchard's side were clinical in the field, Ben Stevens leading the way with 3-24 as Italy were bowled out for 158 in 41 overs.

There was also a senior debut for 17-year-old Josh Lawrenson, who opened the batting, as Jersey bounced back from defeats against Uganda and Hong Kong.

They face Kenya next before finishing against Bermuda in what is the first of three annual tournaments involving the sides in the preliminary stage of qualifying for the 2023 Cricket World Cup in India.
