Guernsey Raiders inflicted a first defeat of the season on Wimbledon to move within touching distance of the league leaders.

Jordan Reynolds' side ran out 22-16 winners in south London, claiming a bonus point thanks to tries from Cameron Craine, Jake O'Connor, Anthony Armstrong, and Nick Merrien.

The result means Raiders stay second in London & South East Premier, level on points with Rochford Hundred - the only team to beat them - in third, but now just two points off the top.

Wimbledon and Rochford will both visit Footes Lane in the second-half of the season, where Guernsey have a perfect record so far.

I'm very proud of the effort that we put in. Knowing that we've had to play a lot of the top six away this season, picking up a win like that is really good. It's such a big confidence boost to us. We could have maybe got the extra score, but defensively we were outstanding. Every time they got into our 22 we were on top of them. One to 15, it was a really good effort.
