Guernsey Police have pledged to tackle drink driving as they launch their road safety campaign in the run up to Christmas.

Officers will be out on patrol performing on-the-spot checks on anyone they think could be over the legal limit.

According to police data, almost one in ten people who were breathalysed so far in 2019 have been convicted.

During the party season, Guernsey Police are clamping down harder on drink driving to keep people safe.

On the whole, I think as a force we are narrowing down on drink drive. It's something that we will tackle hard. As we know, it is completely unacceptable. Some people do believe and think it's acceptable and it is not.
