People in Jersey are being told to get to grips with the island's data protection law so they know their rights.
The Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (JOIC), is holding a series of free talks this week (27-31 January), for both organisations and the public to find out how the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 supports them.
Talks at the start of the week will be aimed at the island's business community, and the latter half of the week will address the public's questions.
Among the speakers will be Kevin Hart the Director of Liberty Bus, who will talk about coping with the immediate impact of a data breach. Joe Moynihan, Jersey Finance's CEO will also be there to discuss best practice on how to create a culture of data protection awareness.
