Locate Guernsey says it helped 35 wealthy people relocate to the island in 2019.

The organisation is part of Guernsey's Committee for Economic Development and works to attract wealthy individuals to live and work in the island.

Guernsey States says the figure for 2019 was 11 higher than it was in 2018.

The sale of houses on the open market generated more than £1.2 million in document duty for the exchequer - a rise of more than £422,000 on the previous year.

Deputy Charles Parkinson, President of the Economic Development Committee, praised the results.

It is fantastic to see another year of continued success and growth from Locate Guernsey.
