A Jersey dog has qualified to help find missing people by scent.
Peggy the springer spaniel and her owner Michelle Bouchard have been training to follow ground scent for two and a half years as part of the Search Dog Heroes project.
Search Dog Heroes is a partnership between the charities Missing People and Lowland Rescue.
Their aim is to train dogs to follow someone's scent, so they can join police searches for vulnerable missing people.
Michelle and Peggy are one of the first two teams to qualify to the official Lowland Rescue Trailing Dog standard in the British Isles.
Another three dogs are now being trained for Jersey Search and Rescue as part of the £1m project.
Jane Brown from Missing People says it will provide a vital service going forward.
