The Channel Islands Co-operative will be providing a home delivery service to people who are self-isolating because of Coronavirus.

Bosses want to help vulnerable and elderly people who do not have a support network around them by ensuring they have access to groceries.

The decision follows the first confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the Channel Islands.

What we want to do is offer a service to those people that haven't got neighbours or friends that can go out to and do some shopping for them, so we can provide some food parcels at a time of need.

Customers in Jersey and Guernsey, those that are unsure and feel that they do need some support, they can contact us in our Jersey office on (01534) 879822 and we'll talk them through the process.

– Mark Cox, Acting Chief Executive Channel Islands Co-operative

The Channel Islands Co-operative is advising people in Guernsey and Jersey to contact the customer service team on 01534 879822 for more information.
