Age Concern add hot meals to delivery service

Credit: ITV Channel TV

A charity, which supports older islanders in Jersey, is adding hot meals to its delivery service.

Age Concern Jersey say elderly islanders have been missing the hot meals they'd usually enjoy at their St Helier centre after it closed to enable social distancing.

It extended its frozen meal service from two to three days this week, and from Monday will also offer hot meals on weekday lunchtimes.

We have once again responded to the needs of our members by offering the flexibility to choose between receiving a frozen meal or a freshly cooked hot meal by our excellent Chef.

We will also be assisting with the collection and delivery of essential supplies. > Our offices will remain open for telephone advice and support and we will continue to adapt and respond to the needs of older people as they are distanced in their own homes.

– Ben Shenton, Age Concern Jersey, Vice Chairman
