Hairdressers, beauticians and tattooists are among the latest professions forced to shut up shop because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The changes came in overnight, after Jersey's Chief Minister moved to ensure strict social distancing is adhered to.
The following businesses should close to the public with immediate effect:
- Hair salons and barbers
- Nail bars
- Beauty parlours
- Tattoo and piercing studios
- Laser and cosmetic clinics delivering non-essential cosmetic treatments
Anywhere that serves food on their premises should also close to the public, but can provide takeaways, under new guidelines.
The Government say the extended measures are based on current advice from the Medical Officer of Health to contain and delay the spread of infection, thereby flattening the curve and protecting the health service.
