A new online service has launched in Jersey to help islanders through the coronavirus crisis.

Fetch.je allows islanders who are self-isolating to arrange collections and deliveries from local business and trades.

The company's website says the idea 'evolved out of a desire to provide essential support to the local community and economy' through the pandemic.

The impact of Covid-19 on local communities and the economy has been immediate and profound with social distancing measures leading to a significant drop in business trade - particularly businesses, such as restaurants, grocery stores, cafes and more that relied on face to face interaction with customers.

Fetch is aiming to restore a sense of stability in these troubled times by providing local businesses with an online e-commerce platform where they can showcase their products to give their customers the opportunity to order a variety of goods and services.
