Third person dies from coronavirus in Jersey

A person in their 60s, with underlying health conditions, is the latest to die from coronavirus in Jersey.

The government says the person's next of kin have been informed.

It is always sad to lose a loved one and I am sure we all feel sympathy for their loss.Health and Community Services will not be releasing any further information in order to protect the privacy of the deceased and their family.

A person in their 70s, who also had an underlying health condition, was the second person to die from Covid-19 last week (Sunday 29 March).

Police across the Channel Islands are urging people to stay at home as temperatures could reach highs of 17 degrees Celsius this weekend (4 April).
