Third person dies from Covid-19 in Guernsey

A person in their 80s has become the latest to die of coronavirus in Guernsey officials say.

It means there have now been three deaths in the island from Covid-19.

I am very sorry to report that a patient who tested positive for Covid-19 sadly passed away over the weekend. The patient was in their 80s. I offer my sincere condolences to their family and friends and ask that their privacy is respected at this extremely sad time.

The third person to die from coronavirus in Jersey was confirmed yesterday (4 April) and was a person in their 60s with an underlying health condition.
