How can Mindfulness help Islanders during lockdown?

Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

It is something that is widely used as a therapeutic technique, to help cope with anxiety and can also help with depression.

Christian Silver, from My Mindful Guru, is urging Channel Islanders to tap into the art of Mindfulness, to help them cope with life in lockdown.

Christian told ITV News that there are many different ways to practice Mindfulness both in the home and during your two hours of daily exercise.

He says you can do it whilst you are reading a book, listening to music, or whilst out on a daily walk.
