States of Guernsey urges 'realistic' approach to social distancing
The States of Guernsey is urging islanders to be 'realistic' withsocial distancing.
As the island moves towards the next phase of its lockdown, people are being encouraged to maintain a distance of at least one metre.
The States is sharing the message that maintaining a two metre distance between islanders 'is not always going to be possible'.
However, it is stressing that a distance of at least two metres remains the safest option.
This contrasts with Jersey, where legislation is being debated which would see islanders fined up to £1,000 if they breach the two metre guidelines.
