Jersey Coastguard's annual Safety at Sea campaign will be rolled out to primary schools this week.

For the first time, schools will be able to show the campaign to students online, as coastguard officers are unable give presentations in person.

The online video and presentation focuses on safety measures and offers advice on how to prepare when going out on the water.

Jersey Coastguard says although the video is aimed at younger people, the information is useful for anyone who is taking to the water over the summer.

Despite not being able to give these presentations in person as we usually do, the safety messages remain relevant, especially during this period of fine weather we’re currently enjoying. Therefore, we came up with an alternative solution of creating this video online and as always, welcome any feedback or questions from them having watched it.
