A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to four years in prison for drug offences at Jersey's Royal Court.

Rory Allo was arrested in February where Police discovered Class A and B drugs with a ‘substantial amount of cash’.

He pleaded guilty to five counts of possession with intent to supply, including Class A and Class B drugs, cannabis, MDMA and possession of cocaine, and one count of possession or control of criminal property.

We take a zero tolerance approach to illicit drugs, they destroy families and lives. By removing Allo from the supply chain, we are confident this will go some way to assist in protecting our communities from harm. We are committed to removing criminals and drug dealers from our streets and bringing them to justice.

Mark Hafey, Acting Chief Inspector

The arrest was one of the first made under the forces Operation Shark - the Force’s crackdown on drugs which was launched in 2020.

There have been 13 arrests for drug related offences under this operation.
