Members of Jersey's Muslim community are celebrating Eid this weekend.

The annual event is also known as the festival of sacrifice and follows the completion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

The head of Jersey's Mosque says this year's celebrations have had to be altered because of coronavirus. The congregation can normally reach up to 70 people but because of restrictions they have had to limit gatherings.

Places of worship in the island reopened in June but with tight physical distancing measures in place.

Here is Dr Sarfraz Jamali, the representative for Jersey's Muslim community explaining more about the celebration of Eid.
