Guernsey's Men and Women retain Hockey Inter-Insular

The Hockey Inter-Insular finished in dramatic fashion at Les Quennevais this evening, Guernsey's Men retained the Trophy after an extremely tight 70 minutes against a game Jersey side.

The Sarnians made the difference with only minutes to go through a short corner routine that ended up in the back of the net.

Jersey had a couple of short corners themselves in the dying moments but were unable to capitalise on them, the game finished 1-0 for Guernsey.

Earlier a 0-0 draw between the women's first teams meant that Guernsey Women also retained the trophy as they won it last year.

Guernsey's men have got through to the Semi Finals of the National Trophy in dramatic fashion.

The faced a tough test in their last home game of the season against London Edwardians.
