Marine ambulance 'a lifeline' for smaller islands

Guernsey's marine ambulance is said to be a 'lifeline' for the smaller islands.

The Flying Christine Three is now back in operation after being in repair for months due to a mechanical fault. The current boat has been in operation since 1994.

It responds to the islands in the Bailiwicks, plus vessels at sea. It can also be called by the Guernsey Coastguard as a rescue asset in search and rescue situations. It is a very important and vital link to the other island, and very important to Guernsey

– Andy Walford, Assistant Chief Officer, St John Ambulance
